SHARON - BEING BORN AGAIN

I think society has become very open to the whole notion of having cosmetic surgery to fix the parts we are unhappy with. I really don’t see anything wrong with it, other than it can be costly and time consuming. In the end I believe it is totally worth it.

Do I feel like certain types of cosmetic surgeries are cheating or a cop out to being lazy? Yeah, I think some might look at it that way. On the other hand, if you have the means and the time, do you not consider it a smarter way to take care of business? Really, what do we do that is totally natural anymore? You tell me! How many men shave their faces every day? Is that not a form of enhancing their appearance? And women who shave their legs and arm pits? Enhancements too, no? I am sure some would say, but that’s different. It’s for hygiene. Okay, I’ll give you that. But what about coloring your hair, whitening your teeth, getting braces, going to a tanning salon? Are these not all types of cosmetic upgrades? And why do people do them? We’re not talking dire situations here. We’re talking to a large degree— Vanity!
